Last weekend I headed a couple of hours north. I spent a few hours on Friday at the National Zoo, mostly taking photos of the giant pandas (cub Tai Shan and mama panda Mei Xiang) and the red pandas. On Saturday morning I saw my superstar niece play a basketball game. Her team lost, but she scored 14 of the 20 points her team got. That afternoon I headed a little further north to Buckeystown, Md., for the wedding of a co-worker from Iraq. A very photo-intense weekend!
